Traditional worship. Genuine community. Boundless grace.
We are endeavoring to be the church that loves people the way Jesus does — welcoming everyone who walks through our doors.
Spencer Church of the Nazarene has been a beacon of faith in Roane County for generations. We are a congregation rooted in the Wesleyan tradition — believing in a God of boundless grace who calls every person into a life of holiness and hope.
Whether you are a lifelong believer or taking your very first steps toward faith, you will find a warm welcome here. We gather not as perfect people, but as people in need of a perfect Savior — and that makes all the difference.
Our services are traditional and reverent, honoring the great hymns and Scriptures of the faith, while remaining relevant to the real lives our community members live every day in Spencer, West Virginia.
Every service is an opportunity to encounter God, grow in faith, and connect with your church family. All services are also available via Facebook Live.
Bible study for all ages — children, youth, and adults. Grow deeper in Scripture together before the morning worship service.
Our primary weekly worship service — traditional hymns, Scripture, and a message from Pastor John E. Miller. Also on Facebook Live.
Sunday evening worship — also broadcast live on 104.7 FM radio and on Facebook Live for the surrounding community.
Midweek renewal — in-depth Bible study and corporate prayer. A vital time to strengthen your faith for the week ahead.
As a Church of the Nazarene, our faith is grounded in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition — a theology of grace, transformation, and the belief that God's love reaches every person.
We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — eternally existing in three persons, holy and sovereign over all creation.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God — our ultimate guide for faith, life, and salvation. We preach and teach from Scripture every week.
Every person can be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. God's grace is freely offered to all — none are too broken, too far gone, or too lost.
We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit — transforming believers into the image of Christ and empowering the church for ministry.
Prayer is not a ritual — it is a relationship. We believe God hears and answers prayer, and we gather regularly to seek His face together.
We are called to live holy lives — not by our own strength, but by the grace of God working in us each and every day.
We believe the church is a family — and that means every generation matters. From the youngest child to the oldest saint, there is a place for you here at Spencer Church of the Nazarene.
Our heart is to see children and families rooted in the Word of God from an early age, equipped to live out their faith in the real world.
Age-appropriate Bible teaching every Sunday at 9:45 AM. Children learn Scripture, worship, and the love of Jesus in a safe, nurturing environment.
Families worship together during our 10:45 AM Sunday morning service — the whole church family, all generations, gathered as one.
We believe in the next generation. Our youth ministry connects teens to faith, community, and purpose through the truth of God's Word.
Wednesday at 6:30 PM — Bible study and prayer for the whole family. A midweek anchor point for households rooted in faith.

On the last Saturday of each month, the Spencer Church family gathers around the table together — potluck style — for a morning of food, fellowship, and faith. Everyone is welcome. Just bring a dish and a hungry heart!
Last Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM. Bring your favorite breakfast dish and join your church family around the table. No experience required — just show up!
After breakfast, the men gather for a Bible and book study — digging into Scripture and faith-building reading together. A time for men to grow, encourage one another, and go deeper in the Word.
